Position Overview

The Cox Media Group (CMG) Local Solutions Advanced Campaign Analytics is the expert in all channels of Campaign Manager, Ad Trafficking, and comprehensive storytelling through digital campaign analytics platforms. This role is highly focused on not only facilitating the proper set up of Ad Trafficked campaigns but also assist with analytics insights across CMG. As an Advanced Campaign Analytics team member, they will be the point of contact for general inquiries and relied upon for high level expertise.  

 

This individual must maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the Campaign Manager 360 (CM360) platform, Google Analytics/GA4, Google Tag Manager, and all aspects of digital fulfillment product offerings. They will work with the Market Client Performance Managers and Specialists along with the Execution teams for two purposes related to our top-tier clients: to ensure that trafficked campaigns are superiorly executed & deliver effective campaign reporting and analyses, interacting directly with clients to convey data-driven stories. 

 

The Advanced Campaign Analytics team member will assist local markets with creation of CM360 ad tags for new top-tier campaigns, monitor performance, help identify underperforming campaigns through analyzing the data aggregated from CM360 & Google Analytics/GA4, to recommend adjustments to increase client ROI. They should be comfortable collaborating with internal teams to act upon insights and communicate optimization opportunities with our operations teams. They should excel at presenting client’s their campaign performance stories and driving strategic conversations for account growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to ad tag top client campaigns through CM360 and troubleshoot conversion/KPI tracking & tagging 
  • Analyze and evaluate campaigns through CM360 & Google Analytics/GA4 platforms in order to recommend appropriate adjustments to ensure client satisfaction and increase ROI 
  • Leverages comprehensive knowledge of all digital ad products and operation processes to effectively monitor and enhance campaigns to achieve advertiser goals and KPIs 
  • Provide technical expertise to identify and resolve any issues with campaign tracking and CM360 tags, QA and/or reporting. This would include knowledge of both external & internal tag types, and identifying malfunctioning tags, ad creative, click-through URLs, etc. 
  • Requires detailed knowledge of both internal and outsourced digital platforms, understanding how technology stacks come together to serve our campaigns 
  • Offers a holistic campaign perspective, effectively communicating performance to our stakeholders in ongoing reporting recaps 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience working in Digital Advertising, including campaign and performance management 
  • 1+ years of experience in CM360, formerly known as DoubleClick Campaign Manager 
  • Working knowledge in ad platforms and reporting in systems such as: Google Analytics, Google Ads, general Google Marketing Platforms, Facebook, CM360, & DV360 etc. 
  • Campaign Manager Certified 
  • Google Analytics Certified, GA4 certification preferred by not required  
  • Ability to analyze CM360 Reporting & Attribution and formulate appropriate recommendations to improve client ROI 
  • Must have superior excel skills needed for interpreting data for insights and superior PPT skills for visualizing the outcomes and opportunities 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft a data driven story. Comfortable in presenting to key stakeholders. Translating technical information to non-technical audiences 
  • Keen problem-solving skills - ability to proactively identify potential issues, troubleshoot and quickly resolve them 
  • Self-starter, resourceful and excels at “getting things done” 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in cross-functional collaboration 
  • Demonstrate customer service skills with ability to build strong working relationships and consistently meet or exceed customer expectations 
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize assignments 
  • Proven ability to learn and apply new concepts and tools quickly 

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS from a 4-year university or equivalent preferred
