Traffic Assistant - WFOX TV

Position Overview

The Traffic Assistant at WFOX TV Jacksonville will be responsible for entering precise traffic instructions/materials as well as maintaining daily log placements to maximize inventory and revenue within the WideOrbit Traffic system. They will also be responsible for the accuracy of the administrative duties outlined in this description. Candidates must have solid organizational skills and demonstrated ability to use good judgment able to multi-task and switch seamlessly between competing priorities. Must be able to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment. 

Requires high-level attention to detail and excellent oral and written communication skills.  Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment and collaborate with multiple departments to achieve business objectives. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Generate daily “missing material instruction” report for multiple days.
• Follow up on missing materials and instructions with agencies, clients, and/or sales reps.
• Implement accurate traffic instructions and spots.
• Maximize Inventory and revenue by preparing and maintaining daily logs through detailed log placement and frontloading. 
• Adapt and adopt all standardization procedures and other initiatives. 
• Collaborate effectively with others (sales, creative, client contacts, and agencies). 
• Complete other Traffic and/or Continuity related duties as may be assigned, including back-up of other traffic personnel as needed. 
• This role requires responsiveness, organization, attention to detail, and the independent judgment needed to plan, prioritize, and organize in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required 
• WideOrbit experience (at least 1 year) 
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MS Teams
• Ability to produce accurate and timely information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics
• Resourceful self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks at once
• Requires exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dead-driven environment with attention for details
• Creative problem-solver

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Marketing, Communications, Media or related (preferred) 
• 3-5 years of broadcast traffic experience (preferred) 
• Bilingual in English/Spanish (both written and verbal preferred)
